So What's Next???

Since I cashed out at Neobux, I haven't looked back. Don't miss the site one bit.

What I'm Now Concentrating On...

1) FREELANCE WRITING: I've been writing for clients since Jan '08 (mostly blog and article writing). Used to earn good money with it but I scaled back this year as it wasn't my passion and I wanted to pursue other things. I don't wanna get back fully into freelance writing, but I wouldn't mind getting back into a writing routine of 2-3 articles every week or so. I've already started: last week, I wrote two pieces which netted me $100 and I received another $100 order today.

2) CLIXSENSE: I joined Clixsense (a paid-to-click site) back in May and was never really active on it. However, I recently reactivated my account, upgraded to premium membership ($10) and so far so good, I've made $4.70.

Clixsense suits me better as I can get direct referrals from the get-go, the upgrade-to-premium membership fee is a lot cheaper ($10) and I don't have to click on links today in order to earn from my referrals tomorrow.

The downside, though, is that Clixsense only pays via cheque. I can live with that as I've received cheque payments from outside the UK before (GlobalTestMarket.com, ACOP.com). Just takes a while to receive it, that's all. Clixsense's minimum payout ($10) is a bit higher than Neobux's and I think there's a processing fee too. However, you can set the minimum payout higher than $10 which is what I've done. I think it'll be more productive that way.

If I get insanely bored with Clixsense somewhere along the way (before reaching payout), I'll just use any earnings I've made at that point to buy advertising.

3) IM REPORT CARD: I've found this site to be incredibly informative as well as being a good money-earner. You can read about internet-marketing products, websites, people & business opportunities to find out if they're legit or a scam. Apart from internet-marketing reviews, there are also reviews about PTCs, GPTs, survey sites and hosting companies. You're also encouraged (and paid) to share any personal experiences you have of the sites/products, etc. they've reviewed. You can get paid in a number of other ways too. To read more about IM Report Card, read my write-up about it here.

4) XOMBA: I must have joined Xomba last year or earlier this year, but I never really used it. It's a bookmarking/article-writing site. Earnings are made via Adsense revenue share. I've read that if used well, it's possible to make a sizable amount of pocket change on Xomba and at times more than that. So, I'm gonna give it a proper go this month up until the end of the year.

Whatever you choose to do online, I wish you bucketloads of success with it (or at the very least a valuable lesson learnt).

I believe it's possible to earn a good living online. It's a belief I've never been able to shake off. And so a'ma keep on trying.

Take care y'all and all the best...

I've Cashed Out...

I cashed out on Day 55 actually. My 3 remaining rented referrals expired on that same day and I cashed out very soon after. The idea of sticking around any longer really did not appeal to me. I'm somewhat of a human butterfly. I jump from one curiosity to the next. Once the curiosity and interest goes, I soon follow. It's part of who I am and it's served me well.

Over my 55 days with Neobux, I made a total of $6.76 ($2.915 was from my own clicks and $3.845 was from my own referrals).

My initial investment was $5.00 which I used to rent 16 referrals (and recycle).

With the $5.00 I put in and the $6.76 I made, I make that a profit of $1.76.

When I requested payment, Neobux took $0.13 for processing it, so I'm left with a profit of $1.63.

The payment landed in my Paypal account almost as soon as I requested it so that was way impressive.

What I would have done if I'd stayed with Neobux...

I would have re-invested the whole $6.76 and rinsed and repeated til I (hopefully) reached $90. At that point, I would have considered upgrading to golden membership.

I Came, I Saw, I Learned...

Nothing happens in vain. I'm sure I've picked up a couple of useful lessons along the way and I'm a slightly more enriched person for it. I didn't lose money, I made money (albeit a very small amount). I've also come across some good blogs/bloggers along the way too which is cool.

One more blog post coming up and I'm done.

Have a great weekend, people.

Day 55: Definitely Moving On...

I'm bored. I have no doubt in my mind that if I stay with Neobux much longer, I'll murder my own shadow.

My referrals expire some time today (or early tomorrow). After that, I'm cashing out. I was gonna wait til I reached $7.00, but nah-ah.

In the coming days, I'll write another blog post to wrap it all up.

Day 50: Update...

I'm rarely getting any clicks from my remaining 3 rented referrals now. Made 3 cents from them in the past 5 days or so (it's cool. I'm on my way out anyway). Most of my daily earnings have therefore been from my own clicks for which I'm making an average of 5 cents a day.

That's about it, really. My rentals expire in about 5 days and I think I'm gonna wrap it up after that (Sept end at the very latest) as I'm well and truly bored with Neobux. The boredom far outweighs the dough.

Day 44: Saying Bye to 13 Refs Today...

13 of my rentals expire later on today, so I'll be left with 3 referrals. I don't plan on renewing any once they expire.

My referrals aren't clicking as much anymore. Most have a click average of under 2.0. I get round about the same daily amount I got when I only had 3 referrals. Referrals are human. I can imagine they have other things to do besides clicking away. In any case, no recycling has been or will be applied. Just gonna let them run out.

I'm getting pretty close to my boredom threshold with Neobux; about to climb over.

Day 40: Have I Given Neobux a Real Chance?

...and do I care if I haven't?

If I move on, will I be moving away from a potential opportunity?

If I stay, will the monotony drive me up the wall?

Hmm.

Questions. Questions.

Anyhoo, in other news, my referrals must have stayed in on Saturday (Day 38) 'cos I made 21.5 cents that day (incl my clicks). Sunday was particularly low at 9 cents. And today, it's only 5.5 cents so far.

Ah well.

We'll see what the rest of the week has in store.

See ya!
